Joy Huber has been a Newtonville resident for 21 years. She is leading the effort to establish an area council for Newtonville.  She is married and her three children have attended Newton Public Schools.  She received her Ph.D. in economics from Boston University.  She has taught economics and worked as an economic analyst for several research firms.  She has been involved in many volunteer activities in in Newton. She is currently president of the newly formed Newtonville Area Council.
