Registered voters living in the Newtonville Area Council district (roughly 02460 area code) can vote for one or more of nine Newtonville counselors in our first election for the future Newtonville Area Council.  Early voting begins on Village Day,  Sunday, September 29, 2013, noon to 5:00 pm.  Voting continues at City Hall on Monday, September 29, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Tuesday, 8:30 am to 8:00 pm.

The more Newtonville residents vote, the more of a mandate the Council will have in making recommendations to the City.  Newtonville residents interested in running for the Area Council, may pick up signature forms at City Halls’ Election Office. Candidates are required to collect 25 signatures, and submit them by July 30, 2013,  in order to qualify.
